The Founding Chapter: ASHAL Opens Its Founding Member Applications
Resumo
The Founding Member distinction is granted once, at the beginning of an institution's life. Applications are under review.
Every institution has a first chapter. ASHAL's is being written now, by the writers, historians, researchers, artists, and educators who are applying to its Founding Member category.
The Founding Member distinction is granted once, at the beginning of an institution's life, and is not offered again. It recognizes those who accept the responsibility of shaping a society before it has a history to rely on — its standards, its collections, its first publications, and the seriousness with which it will treat the work of others.
Applications are under review. The names of the Founding Members will be published on this website once the founding chapter is complete, each with its own institutional record.
Applications for the Founding Member category remain open, alongside the Academic Fellow, Corresponding Member, and International Member categories.
