Payment, Renewal and Delinquency Policy
1. Purpose. This policy describes the billing, installment, renewal and delinquency conditions applicable to the institution's institutional contributions and fees.
2. Payment methods. Contributions may be paid in full, in installments, or on a recurring basis, according to the option chosen at the time of enrollment. Amounts and conditions are presented transparently before confirmation.
3. Installments. When available, installments split the contribution into parts. In certain cases, access to the honor or membership may be granted before full settlement (early release), with the remaining installments still subject to regular billing.
4. Automatic renewal (recurring). In recurring plans (monthly or annual), the contribution renews automatically at the end of each period, upon the holder's authorization at enrollment, until the holder requests cancellation.
5. Cancellation. The holder may request cancellation of the automatic renewal at any time. Cancellation stops future charges; contributions already made for the current period are not refunded, except as provided in the refund clause.
6. Delinquency and suspension of benefits. In the event of a pending payment, the associated institutional benefits — such as public profile, honor highlighting and discounts — may be temporarily suspended after a grace period. Membership status is maintained: this is a suspension of benefits, not removal from the roster. Benefits are automatically restored once the payment is settled.
7. Grace period and escalation. There is a grace period before benefits are suspended, during which the holder is notified to settle the payment. If the delinquency persists for an extended period, the case is referred to administrative review, which will decide on maintaining, renegotiating or terminating the affiliation, according to the nature of the plan.
8. Refund. There is no automatic refund of contributions already made. Refund requests are reviewed individually and granted only on an exceptional basis, upon administrative decision.
9. Lifetime academic memberships. Lifetime academic memberships are not automatically terminated for delinquency; any decisions always follow individual administrative review.
10. Contact. Questions about payments, renewal or delinquency may be directed to the secretariat via the institutional e-mail.
