Brisa Coelho is the literary name of Fabrícia Coelho de Freitas, a Brazilian writer whose work connects academic research, public administration, publishing, and literary creation.
Originally from Minas Gerais, she holds a doctorate in Administration from Universidad Columbia del Paraguay and a master's degree in Business Sciences from Universidade Fernando Pessoa in Portugal. Her further studies include Tax Law, management, sales, and negotiation. She has worked for more than two decades at the Instituto Federal de Minas Gerais, Ouro Preto campus, in management roles and teaching subjects including Public Accounting, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship.
Alongside her professional and academic work, she writes novels, short stories, poetry, narratives drawn from everyday life, and books on personal development. Her literary practice brings technical experience into conversation with artistic expression.
In 2022, she founded BC Editora to broaden access to literary publishing. The publisher has supported more than 140 authors across four continents. This work also informed the development of Método Gato Preto, a creative writing approach designed to help writers move beyond creative blocks, impostor feelings, and the difficulty of beginning or completing a manuscript.
